Service Description
The Open Water Diver Program is your gateway to exploring the underwater world safely and confidently as a certified diver. This program combines eLearning (theory), pool training (confined water), and ocean dives (open water) to give you the complete foundation for lifelong scuba adventures. STEP 1: PADI eLearning – Purchased Separately Learn scuba fundamentals online: 5 chapters, ~6–10 hours. To be completed before your first pool session. STEP 2: Confined Water Sessions (Pool) Practice skills in a controlled pool: gear setup, mask clearing, emergency drills. Duration: 5 hours, usually over a weekend Location: The Workout Club, Salem NH Rescheduling: 48-hour notice required; no-show forfeits $750 STEP 3: Open Water Dives (Ocean) – $425 🌊 Complete 4 dives in Massachusetts with us, on a dive trip with us or on your vacation with a Referral. Rescheduling: 48-hour notice; late reschedule $212 per outing; no-show forfeits $425 Dive times subject to weather; safety first Students are Required to purchase the following: -Mask -Snorkel -Fins (open-heel if diving in New England or Full Foot for warmer water) -Boots (required for diving in New England 5mm-8mm thickness) Student discounts available on gear when purchased through DiVE KS. Proper fit required; If you do not have proper gear for your scheduled class you will have to reschedule with applicable fees. Medical & Safety It is required to complete the Student Medical Statement; physician clearance may be required. Time Limits 1 year from eLearning completion to schedule pool sessions 1 year from pool sessions to ocean dives (Long gaps even under 1 year may require reviews or additional fees) Private Lessons & Transfers -Private pool/ocean: $200/hr instructor + $60/hr pool -Course transfers allowed; new student covers completed session costs All programs are non-refundable. 💡 Upon successful completion of your pool sessions and your open water dives (booked separately), you’ll earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification — your lifetime passport to explore the underwater world, rent gear, join dive trips, and unlock 71% of the planet.

Cancellation Policy
1. All Instructional Programs and Services Are Non-Refundable: Fees for our scuba diving programs and services are non-refundable. Once paid, course fees cannot be refunded. It is recommended that, prior to enrolling in any program, you verify you are medically fit or cleared for scuba diving activities. The student medical statement can always be found below. 2. All Sales Are Final: Please note that all sales, including programs, services, and related items, are final. No refunds will be issued. 3. Exchange for Store Credit (Unused gear items): Unused items can be exchanged for store credit only if they meet the following conditions: Item is unused. You have a valid receipt. The item is in original packaging with all materials, manuals, and warranty cards. Item is brought back within 20 days of purchase. Return on items are subject to a restocking fee. Certain items, like books, e-courses, CDs, and DVDs, cannot be returned if opened due to copyright laws. 4. Transfer of Instructional Services/Programs (If Needed): While instructional services/programs are non-refundable, we allow transfers if the instructional program has not already been scheduled or started. You must: Notify in advance. Provide details of the new participant. Ensure they meet eligibility requirements. Discuss any additional associated fees or changes (eLearning/ scheduling/gear). The original participant is responsible for coordination. Reschedule Policy Rescheduling Confined Water Sessions: minimum of 48hr notification to avoid fee's. Rescheduling Open Water Sessions: minimum of 48 hr notification to avoid fee's. Travel Bookings DiVE KS offers travel bookings and services. Please note that all bookings done through DiVE KS are subject to a booking fee. Student Medical Statement A Student Medical Statement is required for all PADI scuba diving programs. This form is also always available for viewing without enrollment. If you are unsure about your fitness for diving please contact your primary care provider and provide them with the form. In certain instances, a medical provider may need to give permission or medical clearance to dive. Please thoroughly look over the student medical statement and show it to your Primary Care Provider if needed. This form must be completed prior to any in-water activity. There are no exceptions. Please note, it is the student's responsibility to receive medical clearance for diving if needed. No refunds will be issued after enrollment.
